A winery with 400-year heritage, it retains its brand name even changed hands. Moderate tannins and acidity balance the thick body and round the mouth. The taste of red and black fruit is full, from blackberries, black plums, to red cherries and black pepper, and vanilla and smoky aromas are derived from fermentation. It goes well with steak and grilled meats.
